Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Bounceplot — the daily physics puzzle game.

Gameplay

Each day you get a new puzzle with three levels. Look at the launch arrow to see which direction the ball will go, check the bounce count, then place your prediction where you think it'll land. Hit launch and see how close you were. Closer predictions earn more points.

Your score depends on how close your prediction is to where the ball actually lands:

  • Perfect (within 5 ft): 500 points
  • Excellent (within 10 ft): 250 points
  • Good (within 25 ft): 150 points
  • Solid (within 50 ft): 100 points

A perfect game across all three levels is 1,500 points.

Three levels per puzzle:

  • Easy: 2 bounces
  • Medium: 3 bounces
  • Hard: 4 bounces

More bounces means more direction changes to track. Your scores from all three levels are added together.

  • Standard Mode: Pick a zone from multiple choice options.
  • Precision Mode: Place a pin at the exact spot you think the ball will land.
  • Hard Mode: The bounce count is hidden.

Tap the pencil icon, then draw on the canvas by clicking and dragging (or swiping on mobile). Use undo to erase your last line. It's purely visual and doesn't affect gameplay.

It divides the canvas into evenly spaced squares so you can better judge distances and angles. Toggle it with the grid icon in the controls.

Daily Puzzle

Every day at midnight (your local time). You can revisit completed puzzles from the archive, but you can't change your answers.

Yes. Everyone gets the same puzzle each day, so you can compare scores and share results with friends.

Yes. Tap the calendar icon to open the puzzle archive. You can play any puzzle you missed, but you can't re-attempt ones you've already completed.

Complete at least one level each day to keep your streak going. Miss a day and it resets to zero. Your longest streak is always saved.

Physics & Strategy

No. The ball travels in straight lines between bounces — no arcs, no curves. The launch arrow shows you exactly where it's headed.

No. Every bounce is perfectly elastic — the ball keeps the same speed the entire time. It's purely about angles.

The ball bounces off surfaces at the same angle it hits them. If it comes in at 30 degrees, it leaves at 30 degrees on the other side. You can trace the full path by following this rule at each bounce.

  • Follow each bounce one at a time instead of guessing the endpoint.
  • Use the drawing tool to sketch your predicted path.
  • Turn on the grid for reference.
  • If you're stuck, try working backwards from where the ball could reasonably end up.
