Information We Collect

We collect minimal information to provide you with the best gaming experience:

  • Game Progress: Stored locally in your browser (localStorage)
  • Analytics Data: Anonymized usage statistics including device type, screen size, timezone, and gameplay metrics (scores, times, bounce counts). IP addresses are anonymized before storage by zeroing the last two octets (e.g., 192.168.x.x becomes 192.168.0.0).
  • No Personal Data: We do not collect names, emails, accounts, or other personally identifiable information

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process data under the following legal bases:

  • Consent Mode: In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are disabled by default (Google Consent Mode v2); Google receives only cookieless, anonymized pings from those regions.
  • Legitimate Interest: Anonymized, aggregated gameplay statistics are used to improve the game experience.

How We Use Cookies

We use cookies and local storage for:

  • Saving your game preferences (hard mode, precision mode, theme, language)
  • Remembering your daily progress and streaks
  • Google Analytics (disabled by default in the EEA, UK and Switzerland via Google Consent Mode v2)
  • Google Ads conversion measurement, which tells us when a visit came from one of our own ad campaigns (also disabled by default in the EEA, UK and Switzerland)

Advertising

Bounceplot does not serve third-party advertising networks. You may occasionally see first-party promotions for other products made by the Bounceplot team (such as Triopole). These promos are static content: they set no advertising cookies, involve no ad-tech intermediaries, and do not track you across sites.

Separately from these promos, we use Google Ads conversion measurement to understand when players discover Bounceplot through our own ad campaigns. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland this measurement runs without cookies by default (see Third-Party Services below).

Data Storage & Retention

All game data is stored locally in your browser. Clearing your browser data will reset your game progress.

Anonymized analytics data is stored on our servers. We periodically review and remove analytics data that is no longer needed. No personally identifiable data is stored on our servers.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics: For understanding game usage patterns. Google Analytics Privacy
  • Google Ads conversion measurement: For measuring whether our own ad campaigns bring new players to the game. It is not used to serve ads on Bounceplot, and it is disabled by default in the EEA, UK and Switzerland via Google Consent Mode v2.

These services may transfer data internationally. Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Right to Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Right to Deletion: Request that we delete your data. Since we do not store personal data on our servers, clearing your browser data removes all locally stored game data. For anonymized analytics data, contact us at the email below.
  • Right to Object: In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are already off by default. Anywhere else, you can block or clear cookies for this site using your browser's privacy controls at any time.
  • Right to Portability: Your game data is stored in your browser and can be exported from your browser's developer tools.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or share your personal information. You have the right to know what data is collected, request deletion, and opt out of any future sale of personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

Children's Privacy

Bounceplot is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date.
